Owner

Bogati Urns owner and founder, Andrea Bogard LeBlanc came up with the idea of selling urns when only about 30% of Americans opted for cremation. After testing the concept at a funeral trade show in 2003 and receiving much positive feedback, she officially launched the company the next year from a small commercial location in St. Petersburg, FL with only two lead crystal urn designs. Since then, Andrea has grown the company to its fourth office/warehouse, which now houses hundreds of urn designs, styles, and memorial jewelry for humans and pets that are sold to funeral homes and crematories throughout the United States. Beyond the ever-growing demand for cremation, Andrea’s background and experience have been key to the company’s success. Her B.A. in Advertising and an A.S. in Nursing combine for the perfect skill set to creatively build a business in an industry rooted in care and empathy. Andrea also credits Bogati’s success to the people who help her make the business run. She particularly enjoys being able to offer talented people good positions throughout the company to forge a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and creative team to serve the funeral industry. A third-generation entrepreneur originally from Peoria, Illinois, Andrea moved to Florida in 1991. She’s married with two children and one spoiled rotten beagle-mix dog, Lily, who comes to work with her daily. She loves road trips and would rather take back roads than the interstate any day!

Marketing and Promotions

Kimber joined Bogati Urns in 2019 with versatile corporate experience, from 15 years at assisting corporate clients with their incentive gift needs, to turning brides’ decor and flower visions into reality, both at the Ritz-Carlton, Naples. She’s also a bookbinder who had her own handmade paper, books, and accessories shop in Alexandria, VA for many years. It is with these diverse credentials that Kimber leads Bogati’s Marketing and Promotions. Kimber lived in the Sarasota area as a teen and returned in 2018 to be closer to family.

Operations Manager

Ken originally came to Bogati as our Sales Manager to oversee client outreach and growth. Ken has now accepted responsibility for our operations department, managing the warehouse and processes from order to shipping.. He and his wife, Kimber, have lived in Sarasota since 2018 after spending the previous 15 years just south in Naples. When not at the office, Ken visits with his parents who retired to Ave Maria and spends as much time outside as possible. He lists golfing, walking or bike riding around Benderson Lake (and the Legacy Trail), doing minor landscaping projects at home, and grilling. His musical tastes run the gambit, from Vivaldi to Van Halen. Ask him about it when you talk to him!

IT Manager

Zack is proud to call Bogati Urns his first real job. As Bogati’s IT Manager, Zack is incharge of making both the user and office experience as optimal as possible. He manages everything from the websites, user experiences, and so much more. In his free time Zack consumes many different forms of media (Video Games, Movies, Youtube, etc...).

Graphics

West is a Sarasota based artist and illustrator in charge of the graphic design at Bogati Urn company. What started as an interest in drawing and linework eventually grew into a full fledge creative career ranging from freelance illustration work to website design and book publication artwork. Sales - Latin America

Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, Alex received her degree in computer science from Universidad Veracruzana and her degree in interactive design and multimedia from Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. In addition to her background in computers and design Alex is also a professional baker and has a variety of other interests.While in Barcelona she was a co-founder of the Mariachi Semblanza band, one of the first mariachi bands in Spain where she played the accordion and lead vocals. She was also the creator of “Semana de Mexico en Barcelona” which grew to be the largest event of Mexican culture in Europe. From her many accomplishments she was awarded “Female Mexican Entrepreneur,” by MEXCAT in 2013.After relocating to Florida with her family she owned and managed a bakery in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.Multi-talented Alex is an asset to the Bogati Team where she works behind the scenes on our websites and social media, as well as working with many of our international wholesale customers.

Bilingual Logistics Specialist

A native of Veracruz, Mexico with a degree in Education. Her proficiency in both English and Spanish is a benefit for our Spanish-speaking wholesale customers who prefer to conduct business in their native language. As a former owner of an insurance agency Silvia understands the importance of good customer service and her multiple business skills translate well into her current position. Silvia is also an artist and owner of Love Ashes, a company that sells high-end one-of-a kind fused glass jewelry, to businesses within the funeral industry. Married with three grown children, Silvia enjoys spending time with her family, the visual arts and baking.

Customer Service Specialist

From strategic planning, to sales and retail management, to independent business ownership, Judy offers a diverse spectrum of professional expertise to the Bogati Urns team. Every day is unique, challenging, and fun in her role as Bogati’s Customer Service Specialist, and she particularly enjoys working and building relationships with the clients she serves.

Customer Service

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Charlie moved to Venice, Florida in 1970 where he graduated from high school. Retired from Merita Bread, where he worked for 27 years, Charlie wasn’t quite ready to retire for good and has been part of the warehouse team since 2018. An avid bowler and poker player, Charlie is a proud father and grandpa and enjoys spending his time with his family and friends discovering new things to do and places to discover around town.

Jewelry Dept.

A native of Sarasota, Charlotte has an extensive career in animal care, most recently working for Petco. A career change brought Charlotte to Bogati Urns where she fills customer orders for our vast and ever-growing selection of memorial pendants, bracelets, bangles and key chains in our jewelry department. A proud mother of three grown sons, Charlotte loves listening to music and spending time at many of the beaches along our beautiful coastline.

Engraving

A Sarasota native and 2021 graduate of Sarasota High School, Randy is our newest member of our warehouse team and chose to begin his career with Bogati Urns. His proficient computer skills, attention to detail and willingness to learn, make him a natural for our engraving department where he has mastered our rotary engraver to personalize both metal urns and brass plates for customers. In his free time, Randy enjoys spending time with his family and friends, playing guitar, and when possible, heads to Daytona to enjoy a Nascar race.

Warehouse Assistant

A Florida native William grew up in Fort Lauderdale and moved to Sarasota in 2018. He started working with us in 2018 through a temporary labor company and as our business grew, he was able to come aboard as a full-time employee in 2020. As part of our warehouse team, William pulls, packs and checks customer orders and keeps errors to a minimum with his focus on attention to detail. A proud father of four, William enjoys riding his bike, going to church, as well as sewing and crocheting.

Warehouse Assistant

A 2020 graduate of Booker High School where he was a linebacker, Marco is the newest team member of our growing warehouse department. You'll find him assisting with incoming shipments, pulling orders, and restocking shelves. He also helps prepare gifts for our quarterly customer appreciation program. When he’s not at work, Marco is an avid fisherman and enjoys playing video games, reading and spending time with his family and friends.

Lily has grown up in the business and has been coming to work since she was eight weeks old. When she’s not chasing squirrels on the property or napping she can be found making the rounds from the office to the warehouse to say ‘hello’ to the team.
